Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data The Obsidian Key collects when you visit this site or buy the book, how that data is used, and what control you keep over it. We collect as little as the site needs to function, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic — page views, referral sources, and rough geography. The data is anonymized and never used to build advertising profiles. We cannot and do not try to identify individual visitors from these reports.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and never touch our servers — we do not see, store, or transmit card numbers. We receive only a payment confirmation and the email address attached to the order, which we use to deliver the book and handle support requests.
Email and cookies
If you join the newsletter, your email address is used for one purpose: sending the dispatches you asked for. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving the list removes the address. The site sets a minimal number of cookies — functional cookies required for checkout and the anonymous analytics cookie described above. There are no tracking pixels from social networks and no third-party advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data connected to your purchase, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it entirely. Send your request from the email address used for the order tosupport@theobsidiankeybook.com and we will respond within thirty days. Deletion requests are honored except where a record of the transaction must be kept for tax or fraud purposes.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data changes, the updated policy will be published on this page with a revised date. Material changes — a new processor, a new data type — will also be noted in the newsletter before they take effect. Questions about anything above can go tosupport@theobsidiankeybook.com.
